We’ve contributed operational knowledge, technical papers, and scientific input to CCAMLR, SPRFMO, and other RFMOs, helping advance sustainable management in some of the world’s most challenging fisheries. Jack brings over 55 years of hands‑on experience across fisheries research, exploratory fishing, gear technology, fish processing, and international science collaboration. His career includes leading government research programmes at sea, overseeing Sanford’s Ross Sea research for 13 seasons, and contributing extensively to CCAMLR and SPRFMO science. He is widely recognised for practical, evidence‑based expertise that bridges industry operations and marine science. 

Jill has a wide background in major international corporates including Databank, Hewlett‑Packard, and EDS (Ross Perot’s global IT services company). She specialises in business systems, organisational management, and operational coordination. As an active partner in Silvifish Resources Ltd, Jill provides the governance, structure, and project oversight that underpin the company’s long‑term stability and professional delivery. 

 Founded in 1999, Silvifish Resources Ltd provides specialist consultancy services across fisheries research, commercial operations, sustainability, and certification. We support clients including Sanford Ltd, Talleys, ESNZ MPI, MFAT, and international partners. Our work covers research coordination, MSC certification support, compliance audits, fisheries reporting, and science advisory roles — trusted for accuracy, clarity, and real‑world practicality. 

 We monitor fisheries research programmes, review data outputs, interpret results, and prepare clear, evidence‑based reports for industry, government, and international science bodies. Our work supports ongoing research in CCAMLR, SPRFMO, and domestic fisheries by ensuring information is accurate, consistent, and operationally grounded. 

 We work closely with MSC assessment and review teams and are directly involved in coordinating the recertification process for the Ross Sea Toothfish MSC Client Group. SRL provides professional and secretarial services, manages data clearance, prepares documentation for surveillance audits, and ensures client group members meet certification requirements while maintaining confidentiality between companies. 

 We bridge commercial fishing operations with scientific and regulatory expectations. This includes coordinating vessel‑based research activities, supporting observer and tagging programmes, advising on gear and operational practices, and maintaining communication with agencies such as CCAMLR, MPI, NIWA, and the FAO Deep‑Sea Fisheries Project, where we represent an informed industry voice in technical discussions.
